How to Install Photoshop Brushes

adobe-photoshop-brushes-abrInstalling a new set of Photoshop brushes (.abr file) is very simple process. If you have not used Photoshop before, you may get little confused, but no problem! just follow these simple steps.

Following figures are taken from Photoshop CS3 version of Windows. The other Photoshop versions may have some slight visual differences from these figures. But Steps for Installing Brushes are the same.

Step 1: First copy and paste your Brushes (.abr file) in the Photoshop Brushes folder:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS3\Presets\Brushes

Step 2: Then Open your Photoshop Program, Click on a “Brush Tool “ or click B on your Keyboard. Your brush tool will now become active, then go to option palette and click brush option dropdown, now you will see the available brushes, click on the “More Options” as shown in below figure.

Step 3: Click on the Load Brushes Option, you will see the Load Option with some brushes which are already installed in your Photoshop Brushes folder, Now just select the Brush you have copied.

That’s it you have done it successfully. Now you can see the newly loaded brush in your Available brushes Box. Enjoy!
